Each piece retains its original, aged labelling and packaging, including “MADE IN SCOTLAND”, “CHADWICK’S COLOR 2 MENDING”, “Wool 85% & Nylon 15% Mending 23 Natural – Made in England”, and “LACNER MENDING SILK – 20 yards”.
These are not unused lengths of thread, but remnants that have been kept after years of use. The remaining length and quantity therefore vary and cannot be accurately determined. They are offered primarily as vintage objects rather than for practical sewing or mending.
What makes the collection particularly appealing is the character held in each individual piece — the faded labels, varied textures, remnants of thread and traces of use all speak to a much earlier everyday life. Together, they make charming little textile-related objects for a desk, shelf or still-life arrangement, and would sit beautifully amongst other vintage haberdashery and ephemera.

Hand wash only. Do not use a dishwasher or microwave.
Use a soft sponge or cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners and sudden temperature changes. Fine crazing and small age-related marks may naturally occur in vintage ceramics. Due to age and previous use, some pieces may not be recommended for food use. Please check the individual product description.

Hand wash gently. Do not use a dishwasher unless specifically stated. Avoid sudden temperature changes and abrasive cleaners. For older or delicate pieces, use for display rather than food or beverage service unless otherwise stated.

Condition regularly with a suitable wood oil. Avoid prolonged moisture and keep away from direct sunlight to help preserve the wood’s natural colour and finish.
