1912년 버밍엄에서 제작된 앤티크 스털링 실버 & 마더 오브 펄 딥 펜입니다.

은과 자개로 제작되었으며, 마더 오브 펄 특유의 은은한 광택과 자연스러운 색감이 실버와 아름답게 어우러집니다. 손잡이에는 홀마크가 남아 있어 제작 연도를 확인할 수 있습니다.

딥 펜은 잉크병에 펜촉을 직접 담가 사용하는 방식의 필기구로, 오늘날의 만년필과는 다른 느리고 아날로그적인 필기의 경험을 보여주는 물건입니다. 책상 위에 두었을 때에도 작은 앤티크 필기구로서 충분한 존재감을 지닙니다.

현재 펜촉(nib)이 함께 포함되어 있으나, 오래된 기존 닙에는 금이 가 있어 실제 사용을 위해서는 닙을 새것으로 교체해야 합니다. 닙 자체는 교체 가능한 부품이므로, 새로운 닙을 장착하여 실제 딥 펜으로 사용할 수 있습니다.

제품의 아름다운 상태와 수명을 오래 유지하기 위해 실버 클리너의 잦거나 과도한 사용은 권장하지 않습니다. 사용하지 않을 때에는 밀폐된 지퍼백에 넣어 공기와의 접촉을 최소화하여 보관해 주세요. 필요할 경우 부드러운 실버 폴리싱 천으로 가볍게 닦아 관리해 주세요. 현재 닙은 포함되어 있으나 금이 간 상태로, 사용을 위해서는 교체가 필요합니다.
