19세기에는 외출할 때 작은 페퍼민트나 사탕을 휴대하기 위한 케이스가 사용되었고, 이처럼 작고 정교하게 만들어진 케이스는 당시의 일상과 취향을 조용히 보여주는 물건이기도 합니다. 손바닥 안에 들어오는 작은 크기이지만, 150년이 넘는 시간을 지나 오늘까지 남아 있다는 사실이 이 피스의 가장 특별한 부분입니다.
케이스에는 당시의 네덜란드 실버 홀마크가 남아 있습니다. 특히 사람의 얼굴처럼 보이는 Minerva(미네르바) 머리 마크는 네덜란드 은제품에서 볼 수 있는 대표적인 검사소 마크로, 작은 홀마크 하나에도 제작 당시의 시대와 제도, 그리고 이 물건이 지나온 역사가 기록되어 있습니다.
오랜 시간에 걸쳐 자연스럽게 형성된 파티나는 표면 곳곳에 깊이 있는 색감을 더합니다. 지나치게 반짝이는 새것의 실버보다는, 시간이 만들어낸 흔적을 그대로 품고 있는 오래된 은제품 특유의 아름다움이 느껴지는 피스입니다.
원래는 페퍼민트를 담아 다니던 작은 케이스였지만, 오늘날에는 캔디를 담거나 작은 주얼리, 반지, 머리끈처럼 자주 사용하는 작은 물건을 보관하는 데에도 잘 어울립니다.

제품의 아름다운 상태와 수명을 오래 유지하기 위해 실버 클리너의 잦거나 과도한 사용은 권장하지 않습니다. 사용하지 않을 때에는 밀폐된 지퍼백에 넣어 공기와의 접촉을 최소화하여 보관해 주세요. 필요할 경우 부드러운 실버 폴리싱 천으로 가볍게 닦아 관리해 주세요.
