19세기 중반 영국에서 제작된 앤티크 E.P.N.S. 슈가 캐디입니다. Joseph Rodgers & Sons에서 제작된 피스로, 바닥면에는 E.P.N.S. 마크가 남아 있습니다.
19세기 영국의 티 테이블에서 슈가 캐디는 설탕을 담아두는 실용적인 용기이자, 테이블웨어의 아름다움을 더하는 장식적인 오브제였습니다. 차와 함께 사용되는 작은 서빙 피스들은 일상적인 식사와 티타임을 조금 더 우아하게 만들어주는 역할을 했습니다.
이 피스는 부드럽게 둥근 몸체와 섬세한 손잡이, 하단의 플루티드 디테일이 인상적입니다. 특히 가느다란 손잡이에서 몸체로 이어지는 선과 안정감 있게 마무리된 바닥이 만들어내는 비례가 아름답습니다. 장식이 과하지 않으면서도 형태 자체에 충분한 존재감이 있어, 실용적인 테이블웨어를 넘어 하나의 오브제로도 매력적인 피스입니다.
