Vintage Morinox Pear Sugar Bowl — 18/10 Stainless Steel
A vintage Italian sugar bowl featuring a softly curved silhouette reminiscent of a pear, paired with the subtle texture of brushed stainless steel. This piece was made by the Italian metalware brand Morinox and is believed to date from the 1960s–70s.
During this period, European tableware evolved beyond purely functional objects, embracing both utility and sculptural design. Morinox’s sugar bowl reflects this approach, combining its original purpose with an organic pear-like form that gives the piece the character of a small sculptural object.
The 18/10 mark indicates stainless steel containing 18% chromium and 10% nickel. Its brushed finish creates a soft, understated surface that gently catches the light, complementing the simple and elegant form.
Despite its age, this piece remains in exceptionally well-preserved condition, with very little visible sign of use. The stainless steel surface, original form, and finish have all been beautifully maintained.
