French Jam Jar, Form II

A French vintage glass jam jar.

With proportions typical of a traditional jam jar, this piece is distinguished by its broad, roughly cut glass surface. Unlike the smooth, uniform finish of modern glassware, its substantial glass and slightly rugged texture give it the understated charm of old kitchenware.

Jam and preserved fruits have long been part of everyday French food culture, with a variety of vessels used for storing and serving them.

With a capacity of approximately 300ml, it is well suited to holding jam or sauces, and also makes a charming glass for an iced coffee.

All vintage objects carry the natural signs of use and age accumulated over time. This piece is in relatively light-used condition and has been cleaned with a mild detergent. To preserve the piece and prevent deterioration, we do not recommend using a dishwasher. If used for food, please hand wash gently with a soft cloth and mild detergent, and dry thoroughly before storing.

A piece that retains the marks of its age, with no noticeable chips found. As it was not made using modern manufacturing methods, small air bubbles and natural imperfections may be present within the glass.
