An elegant brass dish by Birmingham maker Joseph Walker, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century.
Its softly sculpted form is defined by delicate spiral motifs, characteristic of the flowing lines of the Art Nouveau movement. A shield mark, Made in England, and patent number are stamped to the reverse, quietly revealing its Birmingham origins.
Over time, the brass has acquired a warm, naturally aged patina, with subtle surface wear that reflects its history and use.
A considered piece for holding jewellery and small treasures, or simply to sit beautifully on a dressing table, desk, or hallway console.
